Hi Everyone.
I am new to VW Watercooled. I am the owner of a VW Transport T5 TDI 2.5ltr LWB, VW Vento 1996, 1972 Vw Type 3 Squareback and lastly a 1973 Vw Type 3 Squareback (Project need to finish). My father has a 1992 VW Transporter Syncro with a Subaru SVX engine. So you could say I like VW's.
I joined the forum to share my experiences and hopefully to draw on others knowledge. Currently I am having problems with my T5 TDI chugging, error code is 18074 Valve for Pump-Jet: Cylinder 1 (N240): Electrical Malfunction. 16685 - Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected.
First attempt to fix was swapping over the injector from number 4 to number 1. The van ran fine for about 1000km then the problem came back.
Second attempt. Was replacing the cam followers. Again the Van ran fine with no problems, but at approx 1000km the problem returned.
I would like to replace the Wiring Loom for the injectors but have no idea on price or the best place to buy. Has anyone attempted this job and can offer some advice?
