I have a new Golf 6 118TSI which is a joy to drive except ....
I really dislike wing mirrors that magnify - they stuff up my distance perception which makes reversing and parking more difficult and in particular judging car distances when lane changing (even makes it a little dangerous in my view)
And all for what gain? As I always have my mirrors correctly adjusted I always have full rear view, and with a little intelligent movement of my head, no blind spots.
Is there anywhere I can get replacement flat mirrors that "normal" i.e. completely flat ?
(and why isn't this an option on all new cars, not just VW ! )
