Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hi Dubbers

    Just bought a new Skoda Octavia vRS Candy White DSG TFSI Liftback 2 weeks back and found this site whilst researching Skodas.

    Great car to drive! Previously, I had a 2002 Audi A4 2.0 CVT. If only I had known about this site earlier

    Anyway, looking forward to reading the forums and other info here and hopefully contributing too

    The only options i have put on the car are window tints and the 3M Ventureshield (will post some pics soon) on the front of the bonnet, front/rear bumpers, grill and mirrors.

    Does anyone have any +ve/-ve experiences of the Ventureshield protection? Would you suggest any other paint protection on the uncovered bits of the duco?

    I had some serious stone chips on the Audi from the Monash and Eastern Fwys and want to avoid with this new car.

    Ok, need to go ..........
