Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    My names Trav, im looking into buying a ~08 Polo GTi for a new daily / project!

    Currently i drive a 2002 magna with 190.3kw at the front wheels with the following mods:

    Wildly ported heads
    Ralliart Valve springs
    10.1 Pajero Pistons oversized
    Arp rod bolts fitted
    Completely Balanced
    Pacemaker Headers
    CAI
    Walbro In-Tank Fuel Pump
    380 Injectors
    Re-Flashed ECU From the SKR
    Shaved the heads to raise compression
    Optima Yellow Top Battery


    Driveline Modifications
    Converted to 5spd Manual
    Exedy HD Clutch


    Brake Modifications
    DBA Slotted Front & Rear
    Endless Pads


    Suspension Modifications
    Front & Rear King Springs Low's
    Front & Rear 22mm Adjustable Sway Bars
    Anti Lift Kit
    KYB All round
    Whiteline Strut Brace


    I bought it mostly done but have been driving it around for probably the last 2 years? A perfect sleeper in my opinion.

    Anyway im looking at something a little more mature and a polo ticks a lot of boxes.
