I`m from Bulgaria and have a Touran 2.0, BKD , MY 2005. I found this site while looking for some info about coding my new can gateway. The next problem that I`ll have to solve (hopefully with some help from here) is with warm start of the engine. When I turn the key when the engine is cold - it start almost immediately, but during the day, when the engine is warm and try to start I usually keep turning for about 5-6 sec.I have checked the battery and starter as it is recommended in many forums and they are o.k. Some experts write that changing the settings of the car from manual gearbox to automatic will solve the problem, but this is not applicable to my engine (according to them). So the only way is to do something with the software of the car (I think that`s called remapping) . Does anyone have any ideas and is it possible to change the software with vag-com cable or I need some other cable? Thanks.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,
