Hi all,
I'm a newbie to this forum, bought a 3 yo golf gt tdi manual a few months back and have been loving it since... Until sudden motor shutdown happened while cruising along on a freeway last week in traffic! Not cool!! Turned out to be the injector and harness issue that is a thread on this forum. Vw came to the party with a warranty repair, although I was out of warranty by 6months. Service was from camberwell vw who turned it around in 4 days and were very helpful. After that experience, i thought it would be worth tapping into the vw owners collective knowledge of this forum.
Not looking to do many mods to the car, very happy with it as is despite the recent drama. I am looking at iPod/bluetooth/nav options though, so keen to understand what neat and clean options are out there for an 08 - not keen on loose wires in the cabin and things stuck to the windscreen.
