Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    g'day
new to the forum, searches for info on up sizing wheels for my T5 led me here. Ended up checking all the T5 action on this site. Cool! Had my T5 for a few years now it came with 19inch wheels, it was a jittery ride, ofcause the wheel and tyres where not load rated and I kept getting slow leaks. Had them checked and found they were no longer round, thus the rough ride. on went the stockies. That began my search for 19 -20 (round wheels) with the correct load rating. Seems no tyre place can help and they all have different ideas of what is or isnt right or possible.

It would be great to hear from anyone who has been successful getting 19 or 20 inch wheel and tyre packages and some helpful hints on what tyre sizes just dont work.

    thanks
Working...
