After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    Tiguan towing with a weight distribution hitch

    I'm buying a Tiguan in Australia and want the towbar to be factory fitted.

    The Australian brochure states "Towbar, vertical hitch with removable tongue, ball and wiring with 7 pin flat trailer connector".

    I plan to tow a caravan using a weight distribution hitch (WDH) but those I've seen need horizontal hitch receivers for their ball mounts.

    Does anyone make a WDH with a ball mount useable with the Tiguan towbar's vertical hitch receiver?
