Hi mates,
how are you?
My name ist Daniel (just call me Dan). Im just arrived Australia about 2 weeks ago, moving from Germany, but I was living/working the last 3 years in Ireland.
Im living/working in Geelong now. Looking for a Golf MK 1 Convertible, because I got one (about 10 years) in Germany but cant import it to Australia because of the strict rules here. I will keep looking to find a way, hopefully they going to change a bit the rules in the next 2 years. She is modified with Seats Audi TT, wiring + dash Golf MK4, Engine/Gearbox Audi A3 1.8T 110kw (AGU), Axle Scirocco MK2 16V, Brakes Corrado G60, Wheels Porsche C2 polished, Coilovers, Exhaust..... much much more.
Im post some pics in the right thread.
All proofed by german Technical Control Board.

Car looks great.
Why are they not letting it in? I thought if you owned it for a year and lived there for a year it was ok.
Although i know our friends that imported a few cars had nothing but trouble..

UPDATE!!!

Got the approval letter last week
My convertible will come over, arrives maybe end of this year.

I will fly over to prepare everything, but havent a date yet.
If someone need something from Germany let me know. Got some space left in the 20foot container.
Will open up a new topic as soon i know all details.
