Newbie to H20

hey guys brand new to the VW water cooled scene... i used to own a 67 beetle (ratish) i sold that long ago and now looking for a new project i love the look of the mk1 golfs was wondering how rare are the 2 door models to get??? i cant seem to find any on ebay or car point etc etc. and whats the situation with rust on the mk1s?
