Posting on here for the first time. I've been looking forward to the Amarok launch as thought this was the car for me.
I have a farm and have been looking for a new dual cab. I've never owned a Toyota or VW in my life and it came down to these two. I have a regional Vic dealer closeby so that's not a problem for servicing. Just comes down to the individual vehicles.
Drove one the other day at a regional Vic dealer. I'll post up my thoughts in the Amarok forum.
Not a bad ute, but I think VW must have been concerned about the pricepoint so cut things out of the lower spec utes to keep the price down. In isolation, it's not so bad, but comparing it's a bit disappointing.
