Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    NSW Fools and money soon Departed

    Hi Guys
    Hope thats not true "fools and money soon departed"
    Just ordered my new Tiguan 103DTI suv,Manual
    it was a hard choice to make!
    cars i looked at where
    Forester 2.0D
    Nissan X-trail
    Toyota Rav 4
    Mazda cx7
    Ford escape

    took me just over one month and after at least two test drives(except for the ford escape only went 500metres returned it and said no thanks) on each car.
    many hours of research!!! boy dont want to do that again!
    so VW won!! for many reasons. main one for me i felt safe in the VW of course there where more reasons.
    Brought the wife a Mazda 3 manual goes great so far 6ks on the clock!
    shes happy (at last) so i hope i will be too with my new Tiguan!
    pick it up next week!
    read on this forum with an issue with the engine warning light coming on! other than that people seem to have no problems with the car!! correct me if im wrong.
    anyway all i know about VWs are that they made the VW Beetle and made in Germany.
