Hello there.
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a 2007 MkV Gti (in fact, I bought it from a member of this forum - Saad). Saad had done a fair bit to it (chip, air intake, 19 inch wheels, coilovers, lowered etc etc) all of which I know absolutely nothing about. I do, however, know how it drives - brilliantly. I used to own a 1997 WRX, and this golf is in a completely different league. I've already booked in for an advanced driving course at Wakefiled Park and intend to take it for the odd track day.
While Saad was really into the athetics, I'm more of a practical person. In fact, I'm thinking already of replacing the current ipod stereo thingy, with the original (so I can play CDs and listen to AM radio). Might also see about reducing the size of those wheels (sorry Saad).
Anyway, I've already learnt heaps from viewing this forum over the past weeks (for example - I've discovered that coilovers are a funky type of suspension) and am looking forward to being a bit of regular.
