Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Possible new R owner

    Been itching for a new car and finally found something that interested me - Golf R.
    Took one for test drive yesterday and was pretty happy with it so I'm here to find out a little more before making a final decision. Looks like there a lot of good info here.

    Would be coming from a 2006 MX-5 Roadster Coupe which I still love (bar the wheezy engine), but I've been given the green light to get a new toy.
