I recently purchased an Octavia RS wagon. I have owned one in the UK previously and despite the prices being higher here I know how good a vehicle it is for someone with a couple of kids and an active lifestyle who doesn't want sell their soul to the SUV devil. I have previously owned golf GTis but sadly they just aren't big enough for my needs any more. The RS Wagon is to me the next best thing!
My car had interesting start to life having been used by no less than Team Radio Shack at the 2010 Tour Downunder. I picked it up from Brisbane Prestige in March with 1800kms on the clock.
I didn't had the balls to keep the stickers on it (or rather my wife would never have allowed it!)
I personally believe the Skoda brand will go from strength to stength as it represents a higher level of quality than that on offer at the price point. VW Australia need to sort out their pricing differentials and make the Skodas a little bit cheaper. There is a greater price differential between Skodas and VWs in the UK but the Skodas offered there are not equipped to the standards of the Skodas here.
Anyway I look forward to keeping my car until I am old enough in the head to move to the Superb wagon or when they bring out a version of it that is a bigger RS equivalent (ie with the sports suspension and seats and drls etc)
