Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hi everyone. I have a 1994, t4 cab chasis. Every mechanics nightmare, and no-one wants to work on them. Those that will, charge like a wounded bull. Just had the interior fan suddenly stop working after travelling on the rough notorious Olympic Highway from Wagga to Albury. Needing to fix it, but local mechanics wont touch the vehicle. I am mechanically minded, and have worked on many cars. But I dont have a workshop manual. I think it must be a wire that has come loose, have checked every fuse inside the cab, and all check out okay. Dropped the fuse box down, and found a couple of loose wires, dont know what they are??? Checked the switch, the multimeter, tells me it is fine. However, at this point I find that there is no 12 volt supply at the switch. Can anyone help me please. I do need air conditioning to be working living out west. Thanks David.
