Kustomfreak here.i bought my wife a black 04 1.8 turbo beetle about a year ago.(its what she wanted).i drive old chevs(55,54) myself.picked up the bug @ coolongatta and drove it home,straight through to townsville.the previous owner said that i would be quite surprised by the performance of the bug.i thought "yeah what ever".i got in to the drivers seat of this thing,well what can i say.the love affair is still going strong(with the wife as well).very impressed.sure its a girls car,but this thing has balls.i m quite proud to park it in the shed with all the old school stuff.
Ps.i hope its alright having a "new beetle" in the crowd!
