After years of lurking on the 'tex I have decided to sign up here as well.
I've currently got a 98 1.8l Golf GLE and she has been real good to me.
As far as mods I threw in a fold out Alpine DVD player, MB Quart 5.5" Splits running off an Orion 70w amp in the front and a 12" Orion DVC sub running off a 700w Directed D-class amp in a custom fibreglass enclosure in the spare wheel well. I also had some dark tint put on it for the hotter months.
