Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hello to all members, it is nice to see a forum dedicated to VW.

I have been running a small business for 16 plus years with a mixed fleet comprising mainly Mitsubishi & Toyota vans.

Due to a required business re-organisation, we are now buying our first VW Crafter. We chose this above the Mercedes Sprinter for reasons of price, features and servicing costs but not least of all, I have always liked VW from the first time we hired a Golf during a German holiday in 1988.

I have recently encouraged my son to buy a Golf diesel (of course) and he is wrapped with it. He upgraded from a Ford Focus and now has no idea why he bought the focus in the first place!

Back to my Crafter, it is on the ship as we speak which is expected to dock on 28th October and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I would be interested to know where the VW's are shipped into.

We will be using the Crafter, LWB High Roof, for a contract to deliver fresh flowers very early every morning.

We bought the automatic variant as it will be used predominantly within the metro area.

Prior to making our purchasing decision we search the internet for information of a negative nature but were unable to find any. I was not aware of this forum then so have fingers crossed that I won't find any here now!!

Looking forward to being part of the VW community.

    Regards
    Martin
