Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi All,

new here and looking for help diagnosing issue.

I had an A4 B7 a while back. Loved it until the issues started piling up (radiator fans would start and not stop until the battery was dead, engine had poor power and blew smoke under load, etc. etc. I'm sure its all stuff that could have been fixed but I dumped money into fixing leaks and other things like PCV, diverter, something at the back of the engine was leaking so replaced that, coils, plugs, fan control module, injectors, etc. etc.

Swore I'd never make the mistake again but guess what. We needed a car because the other one was in the shop and I rushed into a tiguan 2010 147kw. It was great at the start but now the issues are piling up. Oil pressure (was the sensor), there was a hesitation under load at about 1800rpm that was bothering me but I didn't get looked at yet, now there is a major misfire. I replaced coils, plugs, pcv. Its booked into a shop in a week or so but I'm trying to work out what else it could be - want to check the coil pack harness but can't find the fuse diagram for australian tiguans to pull the fuel pump fuse.

Anyway, will post in the tiguan subforum.

Anyway. nice to be part of another car community!
