Hi Guys,
Long time forum reader here. Currently have a 2012 B7 Passat Alltrack owned since new, about 120,000km now. Its been pretty good so far - hardest issue i've had to chase down was a steering wheel vibration at around 90k. Turned out the rear tail shaft coupling had degraded significantly. Replaced that and good as gold (not without trying new tyres, wheel balance,etc). Lots of long trips, soft roading, and alpine trips - great car. I've started tinkering with it lately so keen to learn more.
Also had a Polo AW for a few years as I wasnt sure about the longevity of the little 3 pot.
