For the last 23 years, I have alternated between Alfa Romeos and VWs. I took delivery of a Polo GTI in April 2023, having ordered it in March 2022. So far, I am enjoying it, although it misses some of the "character" of the Alfa Romeos. I prefer it to my 2006 Golf GTI (with which it has a lot in common). No particular issues yet, but I have my eye on the climate control which seems sometimes to cool when it should heat. I found the community through a link on the Whirlpool Automotive forum - which began with the accusation that the Polo was essentially dead!

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
