Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Newbie with an engine swapped Jetta from Brisbane

Hey all, I have come to the forums for potential assistance with any issues or information to help with my engine swap.

I have a MK5 Jetta TDI with the MK6 climatronic and dash which had a bad mechatronics and turbo so I got a donor written off Jetta GLI and swapped the TFSI in, adapted the body harness, fuel system, and got the ECU programmed to accept the swap.

The TFSI has been modified with a CTS K04 kit with all supporting mods (FMIC, Autotech HPFP, S3 Injectors etc.), running a Stage 3 K04 tune from GIAC, and a Milltek Turbo Back system.

It's been a very fun project and now I know MK5s inside out so it was well worth it, it puts down some serious power for a TDI badged car
    MY10 Jetta TDI to TFSI Conversion| GIAC Stage 2+ ECU & DSG | CTS K04 | Milltek Turbo-Back | Autotech HPFP | S3 Injectors | NEUSPEED FMIC | ~205kw | Fully adapted from CBDB to BWA in 2023, immo off, harness repin, MK6 MFD & MK6R Wheel
