Greetings folks! Glad to see there's a VW AUS community around!
I'm a car audio enthusiast - I've redone the audio system of every car I've ever owned since my first 2000 Mazda 626 - but I also like nice strong engines. Started with Japanese cars before inching towards Euros with Skodas (still have a Skoda Fabia 2012 RS, which I love) and got my first Tiguan (2018 Sportsline 162TSI) just a week ago after much deliberation - it's the just right combo of power, comfort and compact dimensions I was looking for! Also the EA888 is a great engine.
I joined here mostly because I'm still scraping for information on how to properly install aftermarket audio equipment in the Tiguan, specifically how to retain factory infotainment features - as much as I love the car, Skoda/VW are relative nightmares to put aftermarket stereos in due to the factory infotainment integrations! Hopefully I'll figure out something soon, and then I can give that information back to the community.
