Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Non Aus Hi from Ipswich (UK) 2009 B6 Passat and 1997 Touran owner

    Hi,

I have just been randomly researching VW bluetooth modules and H/F connectivity again. This site came up trumps with more info than most

I have a late B6 Passat (last of the PD engines) in Sport DSG 170 guise. The car came from factory with a VW Premium? option: the dial pad that comes out from the dashboard, leather steering wheel with phone call button, a Nokia? phyiscal connectivity under the front armrest & a fairly standard RCD 300 Mp3 VW 6 disc head unit. I have just photographed the BT module under the front seat:

    It is a novero HT-2 unit: 5NO 035 730 C NGD 39/10 SW: 8506 HW: 019

When I first got the car and tried different phones ... mostly the DDP display (RED) (not later white BAP), would see my bluetooth in terms of connections and loading the phonebook ... but that of course was the only 'connection'...
I will continue to describe the ins and outs of this precise blutooth n VW Premium ICE option issue in a seperate thread)

    Andrew
