Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Non Aus Hello I popped across from the UK to spread the word on POI import

    Seat Ateca driver here etc.

I do look at your technical stuff since you do have some good stuff etc.

I see some of you were struggling with the lack of a VW POI MIB2 import program so wanted to spread the word on the excellent program Poisnpect0r

    POInspect0r

written by a guy called Radas in Czech Republic.

I got it working with the MIB2High last week.... now works for that and I think it works for the Mib2 Standard fine (it had not been checked for MIB2High till I came along). I'm working on the basis that VW will never support a program to write out an SD card again so you are on your own. This program I believe originates from when they pulled the RNS510 import site so it's been developed on from there. MIB2 support started at the start of the year.

The guy is a bit like some of you has a MIB2.5 and not Car-net I reckon (like most of you).... but he's a programmer with a POI import program that he's developing on a peppercorn contribution basis (9 Euros gets the low limit on import taken off - it's his project like us programmers in the past had ).

You can see what I did with the program in this thread and how to use it with MIB2.
