Having been a Volunteer Official for WRC Aust 2011, I got a call up email today from the Organisers for next year's WRC.
And unless you have been hiding under a rock for the past year or more, you'll be aware that next year is VW's year to kick ass with the POLO World Rally Car.
If you want to get up close to both the cars and drivers, (I met most of the top team drivers inc Seb Loeb, the Fast Fins and even had a chat with Mr Ken Block) then this is a gig you really need to volunteer for.
So if you dont mind early starts or late finishes, getting a little cold/hot, a bit of "Hurry-up-and-wait", noise polution, non economic driving, mud, dirt and cars cleaner than spectators, then put your hand up and volunteer for 2013. They even throw an after party for the officials, last year Peter Solberg strolled in and mingled for a beer and chat, nice guy!
As always, there's an official official rego form to fill out and send in. I have uploaded the form and some pics from last year to give you an idea of some of the roles and exposure for your enjoyment..
