VIC Wörthersee 2012 - Anyone from VWW going?

Hey,

I had plans to go to Germany, Ukraine and the UK in June but I'm changing them so that I can make a stop off in Austria for Wörthersee 2012! May 18-20.

I was wondering if anyone from here was going and wanted to meet up on the other side of the world!?

For anyone who's thinking of going, STA is a pretty good source for flights and planning, they've got some great deals on right now for May such as flights to Europe from as low as $1300 return.

And this definitely calls for a Double Post - I'm hiring a Passat CC (MANUAL!) for 9 days for...wait for it...$580! Everything included and unlimited mileage...so I'm going from Frankfurt through Munich into Austria and then doing a full lap afterwards through Venice, Milan up through Switzerland and back to Frankfurt to return the car and fly on to the UK. Seriously anyone who wants to hop in and split costs hit me up!

Is it worth staying for the weekend, or do you reckon one day is enough because I'm putting myself to a pretty tight schedule to see so many cities in a short space of time and then fly off to the Ukraine and then back to the UK. It's gonna be full on!

well, tradition would see you arrive in worthersee about a week before the offical show starts. if you want to see the top end cars and big horsepower.... there is also the other option if arriving on the 2nd official day just to come check out the party still some nice cars, but nothing compared to the 10 days before the show!

ill be there 10 days before the show up untill the official show is finished.
we have to swap contact details closer to the date so we can catch up!

the official show starts wed 16th May and will go to sunday 20th

Jeez - 10 days before, that's crazy! I'll have a look at my proposed route and see if I can start and finish up in Austria rather than Germany which I had already planned. I'm also going to the Monaco Grand Prix the weekend after if anyone's heading down there too? And although not 100%, vdubin (Reece) is trying to come along for the trip too haha. So fingers crossed there might be a few of us there!
