Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC WTB All parts necessary to 1.8 swap my Mk1 Golf

    Hi all,

Currently in the process of creating my dream car. Got my hands on a Mk1 GLS that's in need of a little love. A new engine is first on the list of things that need to be done! Really need it running as its currently parked in a tight spot that isn't great for working on the car so I'd like to be able to move it to the main drive way to work on it whenever I need to.
    I'm looking for the following:
-1.8 ADZ from a Mk3 or similar car
    -32/36 Weber Carb or similar
    -Manifold to fit said Carb

I don't have to much money to spend but I've done my best to scrape together what I can!
Contact me through 0408309735 or just reply to this thread, i don't mind

    Cheers!
