Mercedes Benz 1985 300TD Diesel 4 Speed MANUAL Gearbox S123 W123 Manual Sunroof | eBay
Manual Wagon
Here we have a 1985 w123 Mercedes 300td with a rare 4 speed manual gearbox. I only know of a couple of other Mercedes Diesels of this era having Manual gearboxes in Australia.
Metallic Silver Paint. Black cloth interior
Solid Car
RWC 1 year ago
This car was shipped down from Queensland and RWC just over a year ago. It only needed a new front windscreen and we replace all four tyres at the same time. This car is the quietest w123 Mercedes diesel I've owned. It is extremely smooth to drive. I bought this car for my partner to drive our twins around and carry all their gear and it has been both reliable and enjoyable to drive. Unfortunately we are heading overseas to live and can't take the cars with us.
Good points
Mercedes reliability
rare 4 speed manual making it more fuel efficient than the auto and also quieter due to the fact that there is no torque converter
Rare manual sun roof which operates flawlessly and does not leak
340 xxx kms and looked after it should run another 250,000 .
It has tinted wind deflectors on all doors
Can be run on biodiesel. And these cars have a reputation of running extremely well on biodiesel and are regarded as one of the best Mercedes engines to run on biodiesel.
Bad points
clear coat is flaking on the hatch and the passengers front door
the drivers side door was dented in a parking lot and has been replaced with a rust free gold metallic door. which obviously does not match the rest of the car. Two pieces of trim are currently off the car that need new orange grommets to push back in.
The car has a cloth interior however the two front seats have been replaced with two seats with blue Mercedes tex material. The original seats come with the car.
The car has a few stone chips here and there
It is recommended that you view the car before you bid as you are bidding to buy not to have a look. Can help with transport buy getting to a local depot in Melbourne.
Good Luck With The Bidding
