Any comments on quality of radio reception of the latest units?

Are any special parts needed to get good radio reception with standard antenna? Car is R36

Being a rural driver it is important to me.

So I just received my package. This was by far the funniest Christmas present I've ever received. As I paid for this in full a year ago it now feels like I got it for free! Well done Sandy on pulling through...now to find someone to install it, any recommendations in Sydney?

Radio reception is fine. Better than any other third party unit (except maybe the tier 1 units from kenwood/alpine/pioneer, and maybe zenec etc). OEM units might be better tho. Hard to compare.

Installing the actual unit is easy to do yourself, it's plug and play RVC etc is a bit more involved though.

You mentioned around June that AS had figured out a wireless 2 way mirroring module for Android?

How is this going?

Are you able to confirm the features that are actually available in the current release? (phone book, multi line MFD, mirroring etc.)

I note that the last question in this thread to the OP was over 18 months ago and there has been no answer. I have come back to this thread after about that time after deciding the head units needed more development/refinement before I was willing to take the plunge in one for my R36

I the OP still in business and have the units progressed to a fully viable alternative to the OE 512?

I would assume that if that was the case the original title page would have been updated to reflect the latest news, (No way am I going to try to read through 180 pages etc!!)

Any comments please from those who have the latest models and upgrades?

Or, any good suggestions for other brand alternatives?
