Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Richbrook ball and Momo gear knob

    Hi all,

I've got a new Richbrook ball gear knob in brushed satin silver. It's for universal fitment (uses grub screws). Originally bought from the UK. I've been umm-ing and ahh-ing since I've got it and have decided not to fit it. I've taken it out of its packaging but have never fitted it onto a car. It's nicely weighted and is very solid in construction. I've taken some pics with a standard Mk4 gear knob for size comparisons. Unfortunately it had some imperfections (you can see in the last pic).

These can be fitted on a Mk4/8L S3 using the original shift boot, giving an OEM-ish look (DIY here - http://www.audi-forums.com/8l-forum/...02-model.html):

I bought the knob for a little over $60 shipped, any offer close to this takes it.

Also have a Momo Short Anatomical knob (like picture below but with a brushed alloy collar ring):

    $50.
