Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • SOLD FS: 07 Eos 2.0TFSI, 6spd man, leather, 18", sport suspension

our beloved Eos is for sale, after nearly 5 years of ownership. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this car, my wife just feels like it's time for a change. We love its quality and its attention to detail, its looks especially the pillar-less side windows.

    Features:
This particular example is a 2.0TFSI in manual, in my opinion the best drivetrain for the Eos. On top of its extensive list of standard features, this car is packed with factory options such as 18" Samarkand wheels, black vienna leather, MFD2 satnav & CD stacker (we'll leave the RNS510 for an extra $1000), and the genuine detachable wind deflector.
Non-factory accessories are an APR tune, H&R springs & Koni FSD, and the "729B" Skoda bluetooth integration

    Servicing:
Car has just had its 90000km service including the timing belt & water pump. It was looked after by Highway VW before going to Prestige & Performance in Coorparoo.
New Pirelli P7 tyres 2000km ago, so there is nothing to spend for a good while.

    Other Details
    Rego: till Feb 2015
    mileage: 93000km
car was primarily used for my wife's commute between Mt Gravatt & Logan on the M1, she's managing on average 7.6L/100km, and only 98RON is ever used

Unfortunately (for us) the Eos is not a car that holds resale - so our loss is your gain. For the price of a similarly aged GTI, you can have a car that has so much more - nicer interior, Passat rear suspension, wider wheels & tyres, exclusivity, not to mention that awesome Transformer roof. Sadly VW has discontinued manual for the Eos in 2010 and the Eos entirely recently. The car will be available from now for approx. 2 weeks before it's traded in.
