Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Cheers,

      Thanks for the kind words.

And for those interested, yes it is NSW registered and yes it comes with the Porsche GT3 996 seats!

And yes you are buying an internationally recognized car...

This beast is incredible and ive always loved the build thread and the car, you wont have any trouble selling it! was just talking to loon about this on monday actually!

p.s i wanted to buy the 16v so bad when you had it up for sale quite a while ago i just never had the spare $$ sitting around

Good luck moving it on, although it will be sad to see it change owners

It is not sold yet. The plan obviously has had a hiccup, but if there is a way to have her stay and build up what could be a project that looks different to what was originally planned, I will do everything I can to keep her. But that said, money talks.

Not 100% sure, but my 16, 5sp, and some side draught webers may be available for sale if you are serious, I know the new owner may be interested in parting out.

Thanks for the kind words, and without this forum and the people I have met this build wouldn't be a shade on what it has ended up being.

Will kill me to do this but I have started to be offered serious money for some of the rare parts on the car, so will be soon seriously considering parting it out if I cannot find a genuine buyer.

Interior shot - The nicest MK1 interior I've been in (that is not a full race spec car).

              Nooooooooooooooo!!!

I'd buy this yesterday if I (a) had the money (b) had somewhere to keep it.

              Good luck with the sale.

If you do part her out (which I hope doesn't happen), let me know what you'd be after for the gt3 seats and harnesses.
Hope you find a good home though!

Before I take the car off the market, I have decided to see if anyone still wants it complete and have revised the price for only the next week to $9,000. After that I will need to reconsider my options.

So to recap - I have reduced the price now to $9,000 for the complete car and all parts that I have left for MK1 platform.
