I'm going to start the re-stockening this weekend before dropping it on car sales, if anyone is interested before that, let me know.

I toyed with the idea of GTI transplant a few years back but ultimately didn't go down that path. AWD is a whole different beast. I think you'd want to be a mechanic doing it yourself or have *very* deep pockets.... at which point there are probably better options.
Still, I'm with you, it's an awesome little vehicle, nicer than the Audi A3 equivalent in many respects. Just a shame we didn't get the GTI/R spec options that the UK did.

Good luck with the sale and I hope it goes to someone who will appreciate it and continue to look after it. The Cab's are definitely an underappreciated little vehicle.
One of these with a GTI or R engine transplant (or even an RS3 engine) and the Haldex AWD system would be cool.

Mk6 Cabriolet
Sadly with soon to be new P platers in the house I need a second car that is auto (since they have zero interest in driving manual). I'm very reluctant to sell since I love this car and will miss the manual, but I'm sure I will find something else fun (that is P plate legal in VIC of course).
Before I start pulling out all the fun stuff to list it to normal people, is anyone interested in a Mk6 Cabriolet (MY12) @ $10k ono.
