Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Asking $14500

At the time of release the R36 was Volkswagen’s fastest production car ever. Volkswagen though didn’t skip on any luxuries when they created this car.

The car has a full service history and runs great. It’s fast off the line with its 300HP engine and DSG transmission and handles the corners incredibly well with it’s 4motion AWD system and lowered sports suspension. Cleaned only with quality car care products like Meguair’s and Mother’s and fuel treatment used every 3-4 Tanks.

The car has long rego not due until next May (2019). This year the car has had it’s timing chains replaced (this won’t need to be done again in the car’s life and will save you upwards of $3000 from a dealership) along with front brake pads and all wiper blades. The air conditioner compressor has been replaced less than 2 years ago with a full regas at the same time running ice cold.

Some of the great features from the factory include:

*Biscay Blue paint only available to the Volkswagen R Range

*Optioned Dynaudio premium sound system worth an additional $1990

*Electric seats with 3 memory settings on Driver’s side wrapped with Leather and Alcantara

    *Electric Anti Glare Rearview Mirror

    *Removable Cargo Blind and Cover

*Auto Hold feature which holds the car in place at lights without having to use the brake

    *Detachable Hideaway Tow Bar

    *18 Inch Sports Rims

    *Heated side mirrors

    *Heated front and rear seats

    *Dual zone climate control

*Optical Parking System with a display of car on screen

I have also made these upgrades:

*2.75 Inch Custom Cat Back Sports Exhaust gives a great growl and awesome DSG shift burp

*New Radio with Apple CarPlay (Not available originally with a car of this age). The Radio also has Bluetooth, Auxiliary and SD Card inputs and can take a reverse camera input.

*Cool White LED Puddle Lamps, Reverse Lamp and Number Plate Lamps

*R Style Brushed Aluminium Mirror Covers

    *LED interior Lights

    *K&N Serviceable Air Filter

    *Volkswagen Genuine Roof Racks

    *Tinted Windows with lifetime warranty

I will also include original 6 stack radio and Body colour mirror covers. All lights are able to be switched back to original bulbs.

We no longer need two cars between my partner and I and have decided that paying for Rego, Insurance and Fuel outweighs the convenience of having a second car. I have taken all factors into account in this car’s pricing. I am open to offers but will not respond to lowballers.

This is truly a special car and will bring joy to the next person who owns it.
